Getting help
Do I have to be a Christian to get help?
No. Support is open to everyone and never depends on attending worship.
Is it confidential?
Yes, within our legal and safeguarding duties.
Does it cost anything?
No. Our support is free.
Can someone refer me?
Yes. Probation, social workers, schools, churches and family can use our referral form, with your agreement.
How quickly will someone get back to me?
We aim to reply within [two working days]. If it can't wait, see our urgent help page.
What if I'm not in the UK or live far away?
Tell us where you are and we'll do what we can, or point you to someone nearer.
Giving
What is Gift Aid?
If you pay UK tax, we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no cost to you.
How do I change or cancel a monthly gift?
Log in and open My giving, or contact us.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments go through Stripe and PayPal; we never store card details.
Where does my money go?
Our programmes and the running costs that make them possible. We publish our accounts every year.
Can I give to a specific programme?
Yes. Tell us which programme you'd like to support and we'll use your gift for it.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes. Receipts are emailed automatically and your yearly statement is in your account.
Volunteering
Can I volunteer with a criminal record?
Often, yes. We'll talk it through openly.
Do I need a DBS check?
For roles with children or adults at risk. We arrange it.
How much time do I need to give?
As little as a few hours a month. We'll agree something that fits your life.
Will I get training?
Yes. Every volunteer gets safeguarding training and training for their role.
Worship
When are services?
Every Wednesday and Sunday. See Visit us for times.
Are children welcome?
Yes. All activities follow our safeguarding policy.
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. Nobody will mind.
Do I have to join in?
No. You are welcome to sit, listen and leave when you like.
