Volunteer with us

Whether you have an hour a month or a day a week, there's a role for you. We provide training, support and DBS checks.

Training provided

Almost everything BTMA does is carried by volunteers. You don't need special qualifications, only reliability, a willingness to listen and respect for the people we serve. We match you to a role that suits your time and skills, and we make sure you're trained and supported.

Do I need to be a Christian?

Some pastoral roles are for members of our church; most roles are open to anyone who shares our values. We'll be clear about each role.

Can I volunteer with a criminal record?

Often, yes. Lived experience is valuable. We'll talk it through openly.

Will I need a DBS check?

Roles working with children or adults at risk need one. We arrange and pay for it.
